The Fall 2017 NANOFANS (Focusing on Advanced Nanobio Systems) Forum meeting will be held on October 19, 2017 (Thursday) between 11 AM – 2:30 PM at the Health Sciences Research Building Auditorium (HSRB), Emory University, 1760, Haygood Drive, Atlanta, GA 30322. You are cordially invited. A box lunch is also included at no cost to the participants. Please note that this event will be held at Emory Campus for the first time due to the high impact nature of the topic that may greatly benefit biomedical community there and its neighborhood.

The Georgia Tech Center for Career Discovery and Development and the Georgia State University College of Law have again partnered to create a wonderful event for learning about the high growth career field of intellectual property (IP).

Organized in a round table format, you will have the opportunity to talk to IP professionals in government, corporations, universities, and private practice. Come and learn about the different IP career options and opportunities for those with and without technical degrees and for those who do and do not have a law degree. IP law encompasses four main areas (patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets) and intersects with many fields such as media and enterainment, business, etc.. The Human Toxicology Project Consortium (HTPC) in collaboration with Emory University School of Law is presenting a half-day symposium on Monday, October 23rd, 2017 to showcase biomedical research innovations using human mechanistic biological models.

These innovative research methods and technologies offer the most efficient approach to pre-clinical drug and device development and toxicity testing of commercial chemicals.
